An old Ivor Johnson bicycle works 12ga. Badly damaged stock end of barrel damaged. Cut to 19 inches epoxy the stock, did some leather and wire, tacks etc. Brass shells loaded with black powder oobuck home made of course. Stil a work in progress.

Nice to see others working with the all brass cases and BP. Myself I imported via Prophet River 10 gauge casings from Parker Bros, through Track of The Wolf. ($$$!)

I take it you use Circle Fly wads and OS/OP cards??

Right now I am using Grex buffering in an attempt to improve the pattern. It was very easy getting a really decent pattern using #4 birdshot. But buckshot through full and the other extra full choke is another different matter indeed.

Cheers

Well here it is, finally all together and working how I want it. Express super mag, 12.5" barrel, Wilson combat rear ghost ring, retro police wood. Crappy pic, might take better ones later.

That wood is original finish (as far as I can tell). It has a few small nicks here and there but not bad enough for me to refinish it, it has some nice character. Gun started out as my old duck gun - 28" barrel and synthetic furniture. I didn't need it anymore for hunting but couldn't part with it since it was my first firearm.

Left:
New Production Ithaca 37 Defense
Bone stock except for S&J rail and some minor shell stop tinkering to make it feed perfect.
Right:
1950's 870 Wingmaster receiver
Factory 18" barrel, IC Rem Choke.
Factory +2 extension.
Have the matching walnut buttstock with a plate but prefer the nice pad on this installed laminate stock.

Beautiful set. Actually, two of my all time favorites. I really do like what you did with the new production M37 - you kept moving forward, and turned it into something uniquely yours.

If you ever feel like doing away with that matched set of Wingmaster wood, you know where to find me ;)

1912 built 1897 and 1934 Winchester model 1912.
1912 just oozes quality. Pretty much everything is machines from a solid chunk, no stampings

Just love the takedown feature! Only about 3 seconds to do.
Pump firing is also a blast, even though it's not very practical.

I don't really consider these black shotguns ;)
