Few weeks back, I purchased an Antreg Zenith 22S Conversion kit from Calgary Shooting Centre for my CZ 85 Combat and SP01 Shadowline. My initial impressions:
1. Finish was better than expected. It was even better than the CZ Kadet kit which is the typical Polycoat finish.
2. Dimension looks identical with the Kadet Kit. I did not measure any as I do not have a Caliper at the moment and I do not have a Kadet Kit.
3. Fit was tight. Some minor filing required to fit into the CZ 85C frame so as the SP01 Shadowline frame. Slide to rail fit was really good. For the adjustment/fitting, please see page 24 of the CZ Kadet manual.

4. Magazine was polymer, no big deal as the total cost was about $ 120 cheaper from the lowest dealer posted price. It could be $ 150 cheaper average.
5. No last round open. I am assuming due to a weak magazine spring. I might try replacing the slide stop spring.
Now, 1st trip to the range.
1. Will not fire SA on SP01 Shadowline. Fires 30% of the time with CZ 85 Combat. DA for both pistols OK.
2. FTF, FTE and stovepipes on both pistols.
NOW THE FIX:
1. The SP01 Shadowline uses a reduced power Mainspring, light strikes likely the cause of this. Replace the mainspring by 15-17 lbs. (I have not done this for now).
2. For the CZ 85C, I re-installed the factory mainspring (15-17 lbs), lightly polished the sharp edge of the extractor making contact with the beveled slot of the barrel until the slide sits firm with very minimal resistance against the barrel.
2nd trip to the range.
1. I used the CZ 85C as the reference and it was remarkably good. SA fires 100% with DA still 100% (except for a few duds which is no longer the
problem of the kit). Few stovepipes, maybe 10% with Fed Automatch HV.
2. Accuracy, very good to maybe just below or even at par with my Ruger 22/45 III.
3. Feed and extraction has improved tremendously. Though I was only using the Fed Automatch HV. I will try CCI Minimag and Fed Bulk next time.
4. Except for the missing last round open, everything works. It might take few hundred rounds before the slide loosens up (break in period). Unless I use lapping compound and rack the slide manually, I will just have to wait until the slide
settles against the rails.
Over all, the Antreg Zenith 22S offers a viable alternative to the elusive CZ Kadet Kit at a cheaper price. The question now is the availability of parts. Hopefully, parts are compatible with the Kadet Kit.
