Recently I bought an SKS scout scope mount from marstar along with this reddot from wholesale.

The reddot has four reticles: a 3 MOA dot, a 10 MOA dot, crosshairs, and a 3 MOA dot with a 65 MOA circle. I prefer the last one so that is what I used exclusively.

Both pieces cost a little over $100 each.

Installation is explained in this article, and my experience was similar. I used a torque wrench set at 16 in.lbs. to attach the 8 side screws, including blue loctite on the 4 that aren't supposed to be removed for cleaning.

Here is what the combo looks like on a factory 26 with choate druganov stock. The cheek riser on the stock is helpful for looking down the reddot tube.

The way it is set up allows for using stripper clips for ammo loading.

Best picture I could take of the reticle, although when you are using it it is quite sharp. Funny thing though is that it gets blurry if you have bad eyesight and are not wearing your glasses.

All in all it held its zero throughout shooting and shot quite well. Ammo used was Wolf and Norinco grey box.

After sighting in and getting the hang of it, I got some nice groups at 50 yards. Upper left is 9+flyer with the 9 in 1.5 inches, upper right is 5 in 1.5 inches, lower right is five in 1 inch. Bottom left was when I was still getting the hang of it ;) .

I only put about 15 rounds down range at 100 yards, and it is difficult to find an exact point to repeatably aim at without magnification, but my last five round group was 4.5 inches.

Nice review mango. I'd really like to hear how well it returns to zero when you remove it for cleaning the gas system.

Good review, and good shooting. I would personally like a wider field of view through the sight, but that is my funny eyes. The scout scope mount looks promising. :)

Yeah the field of view is a bit small to be clearing rooms with, but I find it ok. Overall the setup is quite nice. I will report back about holding zero, although it will be a few months before I get to the range again.

hey mango, nice review, nice pics. consider trying the czech surplus stuff, my norinco really likes them. you dont have to get a whole crate, i think they opened one up and are selling boxes down at al simmons. oh, and i recognize the GRGC range. i'm new member there, just did my safety course.
