This is a truly amazing Spotting Scope. It has tremendous Clarity for Star Gazers, Ship Watchers, Bird watching, and yes Hunting. I am a Deer & Moose Hunter and this unit is great in Rain, Snow or Freezing rain. Its a tough machine.
The controls are easy to use under any conditions. However, this unit will give you a challenge if you dont have a good sturdy Tripod. Cheap Department store or discounted Box Stores will not likely sell these fantastic Scopes. These are expensive Spotting Scopes so you might have to save your nickles and diimes to pay for it. But, the Kowa Scope is an investment, and a keeper for many years. Likely only once in my Lifetime purchase for me.
The Details you can see on the Full Moon, Large Ocean Liners, Wetland Ecosystems, and Historic Building Details are beyond description. But beware, this scope is heavy and you don't travel all day with it under your arm like you would a set of binoculars!
However, my experience with my Kowa scope demonstrated to me that they are Waterproof, Durable, and I wouldn't trade or sell it ever.
