Well, after a long wait, got my hands on a promag archangel 10/22 delux kit. Very impressed with the quality and ease of assemble. Looks great too.

Is how it is packaged. Comes well protected in a foam supported box. No chance of damage here (well, at least without the gorilla).

The Delux kits comes with the chassis, handguard and buttstock. Also, includes a set of very solid ALLOY flip up sights and an extended mag release. The sights look solid enough to work on a real AR. The sights do cowitness with the aimpoint clone you see in the pics.

Yep, you get a bayonet that actually does clip on very solidly to the barrel cover - plastic of course.

Just put together so you can see how the parts line up. The buttstock has a magpul look and does work very well. Each length locks up well but the buttstock has the typical wiggle side to side. It can also get really short so kids will have no problem using it.

Please note that with my 13" barrel, the OAL is 29". Min barrel length should be 11" to keep things legal.

The barreled action is attached using the orig screw.

All bolted together making for a very rigid and solid unit. The injection molded plastic is very solid with little flex. The surface texture and mold lines are excellent. The fit with the action is really tight ensuring that it will hold zero during alot of firing. The top section is held on by 6 bolt (4 into the existing scope base holes, two into front and rear sections) tying the entire structure together. Good engineering...

Feel of the grip is very nice and as a one piece unit, very solid. Love the detail work around the trigger guard and mag release. Also throw in a case deflector.

The forend allows for lots of cooling and there is tons of room for any heavy barrel you decide to add. The vertical grip was mine and not included in the kit. There are no side pic rail but these can easily be bolted on.

Scope rail is just a bit smaller then some weaver or pic bases but had no problem mounting other flip up sights, burris rings and pic accessory mounts.

Mag well dressed up the chassis nicely but will not allow for a 'drop free' mag. You need to put the mags in and pull out. Just enough resistance which can be eliminated if you want to enlarge the well with a bit of sanding.

There is a storage compartment in the grip with a door that actually works well.

Promag also offers a standard kit which only includes the chassis for a good saving. Personally, I think the flip up sights are well worth the extra dollars even if you were to sell them off. Plus you get a plastic bayonet for those banzai charges:dancingbanana:

I have not fired any rds through this kit and will be offering it for sale as a demo at a reduced price. PM me!

Finalizing pricing so PM me or look for my EE posts. Dist has got a shipment in so there is some/were some as of this afternoon. Odds are they will sell quickly so let me know....

Look forward to your comments.

Jerry

PS There will be similar kit for the Rem 597 intime!!!!!

Looks kewl but it looks like the front handguard slopes downward. Is there any mods that can be done to make the handguard straighter?
