for the guy who said its not a 3k rifle http://www.wanstallsonline.com/tactical-centerfire-rifles/index8.html
its 2800 plus tax out here in bc. 2 stoves in 800 rounds is not good. i had less in my stock sr22r and i took it apart and polished it and fixed it to the point its 100 percent reliable. thats why i said id like to buy an xcr and take it t a professional so it works 100 percent but it would take along time and alot of money and for that price and caliber id go with a springfield socom 16 in 308, a proven track record and pinnacle of reliability and around 2500 wich will be my next purchasean acr after that.
Ummm...this is a review on the XCR L in 5.56 not the XCR M in 308...for that price and caliber id go with a springfield socom 16 in 308, a proven track record and pinnacle of reliability and around 2500 wich will be my next purchasean acr after that.
Ummm...this is a review on the XCR L in 5.56 not the XCR M in 308. Here's the appropriate link which shows a price of $2399. It's unfortunate that you live in the tax riddled, union infested British Columbia.for the guy who said its not a 3k rifle http://www.wanstallsonline.com/tacti...es/index8.html its 2800 plus tax out here in bc.
stovepipe?
Maybe I'm calling it the wrong thing. What do you call it when the casing doesn't quite make it out of the feeding path and gets caught empty side up in the ejection port?
like i said in previous post snow the 223 version was 100 cheaper but alot of stores here in van have it for as much s 2600 plus tax thus making it a 3k rifle with taxes, just defending my point. And 2 stoves or doubles in 800 rounds would keep me up at night from a 3 k rifle, thats all. i like the looks , i like the company, i like that its american , but i dont like hows its made and its reliability issues found across the interweb in various videos and reviews. awesome non restricted just needs some work that i dont wana do since id cost me 3k for a semi auto 223 that i could easily have in a mini 14 for 1299, maybe im a cheapskate lol.
SnoPac, quick question: What was the brand & size of the mags were you using. And do you think the mags preformed satisfactory. Thanks
i dont think xcrs suck, its just a new company working out some bugs . i compared the mini 14 because i rather have a 1200 dollar 223 ftf or eject and fix it for a couple hundred then pay 3k and spend who knows how much to function reliably and still be non res. 2399 plus tax = 2686, ill call it a 2700 dollar rifle not a 3 k one.Nobody would be forcing you to pay 2-300 dollars over market value for a gun so I guess the 3k rifle thing is on you.

It has an adjustable gas system which I was instructed to run at the lowest setting providing reliability. Since I had no concept of 'reliability', 1 stovepipe in the first few hundred rounds didn't seem bad so I kept it on gas setting #1. I'm told settings 'S' and '1' are for suppressed fire and hot ammunition. There are 3 higher gas settings so I am confident the rifle will run 100% without "work".
I considered a Mini14 as well but there's absolutely no reliability issues with the Mini 14 series of rifles? None?
Your points are lost on me however I am sympathetic with your position. I was in the same place when shopping around.

http://www.wanstallsonline.com/robinson-arms-xcr-l-tan-7.62x39.html thats 2500 plus tax around 2800 bucks, out here some places have them for 2599 and 2699 plus tax, thats another 12points tax on top so ya its basically a 3 gran rifle. the 223 version is 100 cheaper, still were in the 3k area . i love the acr, theres a non restriceted version done out with comp barrel and 2 stage trigger for 4k right now and im tempted to get it. im kind of cheap though so i think hmm a 3k rifle better be fn awesome but the xcr just has too many bugs for my liking atm. theres also a restricted acr for 2 k i might buy as well. gtw is a tnp reference to a go to war rifle , pistol, knife, gear, its basically the highest marks for reliability a particular firearm and or gear can get. its given to fireamrs with thousands and thousands of rounds fired with no problems. reliability is number 1 to me, i just cant stand having a firearm double feed, ftf, stove pipe ect. and there is such a thing as a 100 percent reliable firearm, i own 4 of themknives well thats just another story i often will spend 400 dollars on some nice japanese steel, but im happy because i know im getting my moneys worth. Job sure who couldnt use a lil more money, but how sure are you that you make more then me, but dont worry i wont make it into a battle of the wallet here, you prob do and ur ##### is prob bigger as well CR5
