Hey guys! recently started building a 10/22. I imagine, many of you have also run into the same road block, I'm stuck on finding a bull barrel in Canada.
While searching the other day I came across a small BC based business "Bits of Pieces". These guys look to have a decent list of Ruger 10/22 accessories, and also stock
Green Mountain Barrels. My question to you guys is, Has anyone dealt with these guys? Good or Bad Experiences? (by no means am I throwing a business under the bus)
Any feed back is appreciated! thanks in advanced!

....'Been around for a number of years, and very,very well regarded by those who have employed "Barry" and his crew! .... Thoroughly recommended! ...... :d David K

Last time I asked for pricing on GM 10/22 barrels they were quite reasonable. The cheapest in Canada and not absurdly more than US prices. But our dollar has sh!t its guts out like a heroin addict so prices will be higher now.

Good gunsmith, as already stated he is busy. I had him rebarrel an Anschutz 54 Match 3 years ago with a Lilja 26" .22 cal barrel. Here's a pic of the target results.

Didn't read the thread jsyk;

Wanted to make my 10/22 look like the nostromo so I wanted a bull barrel. Found the bits and pieces reference in the web.

Called them up, talked to the guy personally, chatted a bit, gave him my cc number and ordered a 20" straight GM blue bull.

Showed up in due order (a week? I forget) and bolted right in. Heck, it actually improved the rifle.

So that was one if the most enjoyable time I had spending my money with my pants on so far!

All the good local (Vancouver area) gunsmith’s are from South Africa!

Having said that, the ones that I know around here are a little odd. I’ve never dealt with Barry cause he is known to take for bloody ever. The last South African I deal with took a few months and cancelled his phone (shop and cell) and I was about 5 mins away from reporting to police. Turns out I eventually got my guns back from him and… WOW they were unreal awesome! I forgot how lousy he was and couldn’t believe what a good job he did. hahah.

I have had much better luck dealing with the US for my last few precision firearm purchases :)

He does excellent work, however if you are in a rush then you may want to go somewhere else.

Very nice to deal with and very skilled.
