Can anybody recommend a good gunsmith who can modify a revolver cylinder to take moonclips? I'm also looking to get my cylinders chamfered while I'm at it. The only gunsmith I can easily find offering this service online is Armco, any experience? I know there's probably not a lot of people who've had this done but I figure I'd ask.

Murray Charlton does excellent work. In fact one of my guns is at his shop right now. IF he does not modify cylinders to take moonclips, a company called TK Customs does.
It is my understanding, you just send the cylinder to them and you get it back ready to go. They are in the USA, but I don't foresee shipping a cylinder as a problem.

I've never had that work done, but I've had several other things done to handguns by Barry Jensen of Bits of Pieces in Delta, BC. His work is very, very good, and he's easy to talk to on the phone. You can look up Bits of Pieces on the website.

Way too many horror stories about Armco and 6 month or more waits to get guns back, lack of communication, etc. When he does the work it's good but probably more trouble than it's worth. Try to find someone who will get you your gun back to you in less than a year.
