I am having some issues with my Dan Wesson revolver. This pistol was used regularly as a Bulseye pistol and was mostly fired single action. It seems to have a light hammer strike (misfire) every once in a while when fired double action ( no problem when fired single action though) any guesses as to the problem and maybe a fix ?

on double action the hammer does not come back as fare as single action.
you need to look at the main spring and see if there is an adjustment.
on a s&w there is a screw on the front of the grip frame that you would tighten. i can not remember what is on a dan wesson.

Send Dan Wesson co. an email and ask, this is probably the quickest way to find out or ask the outfit you purchased from.

If you put a thin spacer between the main spring seat and main spring you can increase tension. But first be sure the seat (part 49) hasn't backed out a little and decreased the springs tension.

Not bad for a girl, eh?
