Revolver Holsters

Anyone ever order from Galco in the US? Looks like they make nice stuff so I put in an order a while back and they refunded it without explanation. There is no text on the website stating they don't ship to Canada. I am after a OWB leather holster for 1911's that will fit a full size and the commanders.

It sure looks like they ship international, did you contact them about the shipping rates to Canada?
This is all I could see on their website...

International shipping is available. Fees vary based on order size and delivery location. Please contact us by email to determine the costs associated with your specific order, so that we may help you calculate your total prior to sending payment. Once the order is placed, you will be contacted via email with the exact amount of shipping to your location. Please note that there may also be customs fees or duties not related to Galco's charges that you are responsible to pay before delivery of the product. In order to proceed we require the customer to authorize the international shipping charges. If we do not receive authorization within 3 business days the order will be canceled and refunded.

All international orders will be shipped via FedEx and only when the entire order is complete. Galco does not currently ship to Russia or the continent of Africa due to widespread fraud in those areas.

It looks like Galco's prices have gone up a bit since last I looked, but I suppose everything has.

Check out Elpasso Saddelry or even Amazon, if your not stuck commited to Galco, Lot's of leather 1911 holster makers and the Commander should fit well enough into a Govt sized holster.

The Azula's on Amazon for $75 shipped look well made!

Good afternoon gentlemen,

I'm looking at getting a OWB holster for my 686 and am having quite the time trying to find one. Could anyone point me in the right direction please?

Milt Sparks and Simply Rugged are the first two brands that came to mind.

I've had a 4" 586 in a Milt Sparks for 20+ years, might be their Model PMK. I still like the holster and the company stitched the muzzle closed at my request.

I ordered from Galco, custumer support reached out to me the next business day and said they will get a shipping quote before finalizing the order. So we will see, their products look A+ but lets hope they actually come through with sending it to canada.

The Galco holsters came in and let me tell you...these things are grade A+. The fit and finish is immaculate and the colour is perfect. The stitching is heavy duty and well executed.

It was expensive but I am very impressed with the quality.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. How much did customs take from you?

How about some photos?

I have been buying all my holster from Four Brothers. Great pricing, pretty well full availability of different styles for any gun and they ship to Canada with no BS. I tried dealing with Solely and some other Canadian outfits and there is no way I am paying what they want for such poor selection, service and product.

I just got through this CBSA warehousing scheme earlier this month. The dangerous goods I had the nerve to import? Peep and fore sight for an 1894. The nerve of me! Stalled for a month. I called and miraculously I had my sights in two business days.
