I'm trying to find out what frame model this gun is. Its a Smith and Wesson and the markngs it has are:
- 38S&W CTG(on barrel)
- MOD. IN-5, 4R132(on frame)

Any help would be great.

If there is a letter preceding the serial number, that will often tell you the frame size. Eg, N******* would indicate an N frame, and a preceding K or J would likewise indicate those frame sizes. Victory models, and 1917's I believe followed a different system.

Sorry guys no pic I'll try to get one. There is the letter D starting off the serial number if thats any help.

A little more information would probably help. Does the gun have a swing out cylinder or is it a top break? Is the finish blue, nickel, or is it parkerized? Are the grips small plain uncheckered? Is there a lanyard ring? Does it have adjustable sights or a groove cut in the top of the frame for a rear sight? If the gun is a .38 S&W and the barrel is 5" long I'm leaning towards a K frame Victory model.
