Revolver speedloaders

This is a bad question but I want to double check before I buy anything. I’m looking at buying speed loaders for someone, they have a alpha project 9mm revolver and I wanted to make sure that I could buy them .38/.357 speed loaders and they would be compatible

No , I could try a couple, But I would not suppose they would work K frame?
I will check back after coffee.
I don't have a AP, but have loaders, length of the case could be a problem and if they lock in.

I wouldn't think they'd work , .357mag is a rimmed cartridge and the 9 is rim less .
And don't most 9mm revolvers use moon clips ?

I had an Alfa Proj in 357 and it worked with the speed loaders for the K frame S&W in 357 BUT the gun your friend has is using rimless 9mm and will not work with speed loaders at all. It needs clips specifically from Alfa Proj.

O.K. I tried 9 mm on a k frame HKS loader and they will not lock in . rims are too small.

For the 9mm Alfa Proj has their own moon clips that they make for it which are usually $4-5 each. They're decent enough, just make sure you use the demooning tool with it or else they'll get all bent and not hold onto the rounds as well.
