Revolvers over pistols... My choice....

First time I tried a SA revolver I was baffled by the small grip but then I learned how to grip it with 2 fingers and let the pinky go under the bottom and now small grips don't really bother me.
Do you have knuckle squash issues with all revolvers?

No, I have used older Rossi 22, GP101, 686, 629 and even a prohibited S&W chiefs special and more I can't remember, plus even more just to try the feel. The Chiefs special did crunch my fingers a bit, add the recoil in such a small package did strip a bit of skin. I haven't owned anything that I couldn't hold comfortably, and I won't start even if I have to go without - shooting is supposed to be enjoyable.

Sure would have Sig... I will show up somethime this week with my 627 and my Armalite with the new scope configuration to zero it... JP.

woaw.the 627 looks really sweet JP...so you put a red dot on the 27. i expect the 50 yard berm will see a lot of big rounds landing lolll.

can't wait to see the armalite with the ''new''' (hi lux ??) config in action. the ''thing''' shot tight groups as i've seen it with the S&B sitting over . i think while the hi lux might be faster at aiming and getting the shot ,i can't see how it could be as accurate as the S&B. testing will tell of course.

I thought the Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan is only available in the US only. I wish Ruger would make a 4.2" version of that, I would definitely buy one.

Me too. I'd go for a 5" bull barrel version too a la the ssk beast

Just ordered my first 1873 SAA Pietta in 44 mag 5.5 inch from Marstar, my first big caliber SA.... JP.

When the opponents are not whorthy, the fight really mean nothing... JP

something like this minus the inch or so of ported barrel.

Something like that but it's not the Alaskan model though, that one looks like a SRH with the barrel cut back. Ruger only makes the Alaskan with 2.5" barrel.
Here's one with the 7.5" barrel cut back to 4.8".

yes the alaskan is only a 2.5. i'm just saying i'd like to see a 5 inch bull SRH regardless of what it would be called

My Vintage 1985 Redhawk with the 7.5" barrel. I would like the get the same one but in 5.5", hard to find.

my picture is not as pretty but here is my RH 7.5. Love the RH. If i didn't have the 4.2 629 I probably would have gone for the 5.5 RH, but i really like the 7.5 too

Seems there was a limited run of the 5.5s recently. this is what you are looking for:

gdawg how do you like the Hogue grip on your RH? I just order a one like that in Pau Ferro wood.

I like them a lot. they feel very comfortable though they don't really help with recoil if that is a consideration (more an issue with the 629 than the RH). I may pick up some woods like yours as well.
