Revolvers: to lube or not to lube!

the dozen or so revos ive had and some shot in IPSC all got opened up at some point and lubed with gear oil. It stays in place.

I squirt some CLP or G96 inside all my revolvers. They have a lot of moving parts.

Excess lube creates it's own problems. The rebound slide of S&W revolvers needs some lube occasionally which can be done by removing the grips, not the sideplate.
