I’m looking to learn about these revolving shotguns. Are any of the ones on the market made with steel frames (i.e. not aluminum)?

Any of them take screw-in chokes?

Any of them considered superior to “the rest”?

I've had this sr410 for two seasons now:

https://www.tacticalimports.ca/nonrestricted-firearms-c-1/sr410-p-682.html

i believe it is steel and it came with screw in chokes.

I am a huge fan of it.

people complain about the price of 410 ammo, but i'm conditioned by my marlin 45-70, so the 410 doesn't feel that bad to me.

I love how it is light to carry, easy to use one handed, and easy to fit in a pack.

At the range i find it hard to aim because it is so short. But when hunting grouse, when i see the bird i shoot first and think second, and i find when i just let my reflexes aim and shoot like that, my aim is much better than if i took the time to think about it. Come to think of it, in 2 seasons i think i've only missed one shot, and one of my succesful shots was literally from the hip. I should clarify, i'm usually an average shot at best, so my point here is that it's easy to shoot.

those are the pros, i'd list the cons but i honestly can't think of any.

The ones that I used to have were steel cylinders but aluminum frames
That new batch that came out recently that shoot 45 colt and 45 acp plus the 410 not sure if the frames are steel or not on those ones ?
Some 410 shells fit tight in these too, mostly the cheaper brands like Troy and BPS

I believe the circuit judge is prohibited in Canada. Same frame as their handguns.
Hmmm, I never thought about that. The shotgun used to be restricted like the handgun, I guess it's prohibited now too.

I had a run where I wanted a neat 410 for grouse, so I had a Rossi and Henry lever gun and a canuck brand revolving gun. The henry was the nicest of the 3, but I really weren't happy using any of them. Single shots and o/u were just nicer to use and walk with.
So maybe go with one of the cheaper ones you can find to see if it inspires you to buy a nicer one - or move on to something different.
