Hi, I'm looking for a revolving rifle, a rifle that has a cylinder instead of a magazine. The only thing I could find on the internet was a first generation one from the 1800's. If anyone has information on a much more recent one it would be greatly appreciated. The main reason I'm looking for this is so I can have the power of a bolt action with the refire rate of a semi-auto (I know it will never be as fast, but it'll be close)

knights armament created a revolver rifle. looks sick but never made it to retail market.

google search " knights armament revolver rifle" and you will find a nice review on it.

You will have better luck in the Black powder and antiques section.

There's an episode of the X-Files where an assassin uses a (modern-looking) revolving rifle. Not saying that rifle really exists, I just thought it was a strange choice of weapon.

If you look at the 2010 guns from Rossi and Taurus, they have such a rifle that chambers both 410 and .45. It's based on the Judge revolver. From memory it only weighs 4.5 lbs which would make it ideal to strap on a packsack. I have not found much information on it however.

for a pack gun, i'd rather take that short marlin than a revolving carbine- and a more powerful cartridge too- in 45/70- i think i saw somewhere you get 7 rounds - the revolving carbine is a NOVELTY, much the same as the shoulder stocked pistol

I have one from FIE in 44/40 based on the Colt action its a roit to shoot but in the bush youd be better off with a Trapper carbine if your lookin for longer range punch an accuracy.
