Allied Armament / XS Products X-FAL 50 Round Drum
The X-FAL is a .308 caliber 50 round single stack compact drum designed for Metric FAL Type rifles. The magazine easily loads and unloads by operating the front hand wheel. Designed to operate in automatic and semiautomatic applications, it employs a larger hand-wheel and double spring for increased reliability. Unique to this magazine's design is a patent pending feed device that allows the magazine to run massive spring pressures without effecting the firearm's bolt operation. The durable body is constructed entirely of aluminum; and finished in a friction reducing ceramic coating. All internal and operating assemblies are made of black oxide steel and aluminum. Comes with a lifetime warranty and includes an instruction manual.

Currently available in black, optional colors coming soon.

Yes i know the pic is the AR version....

holly smokes! but will it ever be legal in canada haha.

What are you talking about? Of coarse it will be legal in Canada... It will just be neutered to five. Kinda comical in a sad kinda way really, you would be using a mag that probably weighs more then the five round it can carry.

The 5 round limit makes that thing fairly pointless. Plus I remember seeing those on the Kel-Tec forum and they were expensive.

Well i went out to the range for a short break in and to sight it in. It ran a little ragged for the first 20-30 rounds. I set the gas and ran another 40 rounds through her and she started running better. I had no issues with the factory mag, but one of the other ones I bought wouldn't feed the last round.

I did a few rapid fire strings and one of the take down pins walked out a tenth of a millimeter.

I ran my gas at +6 and it fed a couple types of ammo without problems. Groupings weren't the best, I was shooting SA surplus. I could still hit what I aimed at though. The trigger is much better than a tavor.

I will have to do some accuracy testing when I roll up some handloads with 168 gr. SMKs and 168 Berger VLDs.

I drove down to edmonton today and the guys at P&D were nice enough to let me hold one,the weight and balance seemed pretty good I will get one by this summer and use it for upcoming hunting season

It had better not have been mine. I did not want anyones mitts on it before mine plus it was supposed to be shipped out this morning. Really it should have been shipped out on the 31st but screwed up putting my credit card number into their machine and I didn't get back to them before 3pm that day.

Hey...any of you guys have a link or pdf for the sling attachment manual (or PM some scans)? I decided I was going to put mine on and found out I'm missing that darn manual (at least I think I'm missing it as the main RFB manual says to follow it when attaching...and I don't have one).

I was at Poco just after lunch time. I was the 3rd to attend with one that day.

Poco Range Rant

And what a surprise 1 hour wait at the upper range so I went and used the lower pistol range on my own for 1 hour.

I had a great time shooting .45 out of the wife's Norinco 1911 and my USC. At the 50 minute mark I was reloading the USC mag when this bigger Russian sounding guy came up and told me that I was not aloud to fire the USC rifle down here, lower pistol range. I politely corrected him that .22 rifle and pistol calibre carbine was aloud and the upper range officers knew what I was firing.

Instead of walking away and saying something like "ok, didn't know" he kept arguing/interrupting me when I turned my back to him and began reloading the mag:mad:. He didn't actually touch me. At this point I was pissed. So this time, looking him the eyes I politely told him that I no longer cared what he had to say as he wasn't listening to what I had to say, you are disturbing me so go f**k off, he responded by shrugging and making a funny face.:bangHead:. It takes quite a bit to piss me off just, ask Epoxy7. Once I resumed firing the .45s in a long string of multiple mag's the big Russian, without hearing protection on, left me alone .

1 hour is up so I clean up my range, pack my kit and move the truck over to the upper range. I go and speak with the upper range officer about a table for .308. He smiles at me and askes if i was firing a rifle down below. I said "no" just the .45 USC. he responded with "oh, thats fine then". Apparently the big Russian felt so inclined to report me to the range officers when he didn't get the response he was looking for.

I'm glad I've joined the Mission range.

Rant off :p

He got a polite responce from you, i'm glad I left Poco for Mission too. Too bad, because they're are some good guys at Poco.
Nice rifle too, Fireball.

I'm pretty sure it was the 3rd one as they're keeping it as floor model.

Brordo- I didn't get a sling manual, but I just set it up. You have to strip the gun down to get the front handguard off and then mount the bracket in the hole on either side, depending on if you're a lefty or righty. You put the pin of the bracket through the hole and then attach the locknut on the inside of the handguard. After that you just slide the sling through the bracket and double it back on itself. Do the same for the rear. Put the steel clips on the sling before you do this so they will be there to retain the loose ends once you have it set up.
