RFB scope mount

Mine locks up well. You can adjust the tension with the round adjustment dials on the opposite side of the levers. I've had this for four years. The way it's setup I don't rap my knuckles on the levers and the regular charging handle works great.

That being said I have a couple ADM mounts on AR rifles and they are nicer. More expensive but it is my favourite mount. The Burris works decently, is cost effective but not as nice of a product.

Well that is the reason I might own one again....

the flip up irons are kinda useless now, without a quick detach mount, so they will have to come off too

see i've never understood this particular view on BUIS. If you're scope /main optic goes down, regardless of if it's QD or not you're going to need a sight to replace it. Lets assume you have the time to remove the sight with a tool, isn't it still better to have a set of BUIS that are already zeroed than to throw something on that will require rounds and time to zero afterwards? and for that matter what if there is no replacement incoming for your primary? BUIS don't need to be "instantly" accessible to be useful.

They become a hinderance if they impede the main optic mount. Which mine do. And I have no plans to go to war with this rifle, so if my main optic goes down, ill probably just be pissed and drive home

Rally Guy has your problem solved with the extended charging handle is a great addition to the rifle either way.

Canucklehead also has it bang on with the ADM mount.

If your set on keeping the Burris PEPR for now and cant get the extended charging handle quickly flipping the PEPR around doesn't cause any issues at all. I ran mine like that for some time before switching optics and mounts.

THAT...is an awesome combo!
