Rh SBEII for a Lh shooter

I'm looking at picking up a SBEII. I'm left handed shooter and although i have a lefthanded bolt action, for auto loaders i don't mind right handed rifles.

I was reading the benelli site, and they have recoil pads for right or left handed shotguns, and i was wondering if a right handed shotgun would still be comortable for a lefty? Would it better to go for a Left handed shotgun?
Or should i get a lefthanded recoil pad from them and put on right hand model (if possible)?

If anyone has experience on this, that would be great.
 
I have a SBE II and I notice when it is standing up in the cabinet that the stock has a slight bend in it for right handed shooters (I hope this is normal!).
That being said my lefty sporting clay buddy shoots it no problems, and every oother lefty that has tried it like the feel of it.

If I was buying new and I was a lefty, I would buy the lefty gun. SBE II's are hard to find used also. I'm sure the recoil pad will fit on both rifles because the R1 pads are also interchangable.
 
The recoil pads in the right handed guns are designed for a right shoulder and likewise for the left handed version. I have the right handed recoil pad on my Ultralight and it doesn't feel right on my left shoulder at all. If I were you, I would get the lefty version it will fit much better. Cheers,

I'm a lefty and currently shooting a right handed Benelli Cordoba. It came set up for a right-handed shooter but included a number of shims to adjust the stock to a neutral stock or for a left-handed shooter. It took a little getting used to but I've had no issues with the shells ejecting across my face or with the safety and bolt release buttons being on the right side.

If you've never had a semi, I'd recommend handling one before buying. Some people might find the shell ejection annoying.
 
I have shot a Right hand SBEII and now own a Left hand SBE II, it makes a difference.
And especially the quick safety response (left side bigger on left hand, and vise verse on right)
And the stock does slightly twisted for left hand shooter.
