RH shooter with dominant left eye

I have an eye that shifts to the side when I am trying to aim. Which makes it almost impossible for me to shoot with both eyes open. I have solved the problem by not using that eye at all. I just tape kleenex over my eyeglasses to block that eyes view completely.

in the movie "firebirds" with nick cage, he had the same problem. He fixed it by dring around in a jeep with women's panties wrapped around his head....maybe that will help

Good one, I always wondered what movie that was, I remember that part of the movie when I first say it many many years ago. I too am right hand left I dominant. When shooting trap/skeet I shoot both eyes open, right hand. With pistol I just lightly squint my left eye.

LOL, the real story the pantie thing was spoofed from came from the army apache helicopter training center. The visual sight for the 30mm chain gun requires right eye domanance (or at least used to). When they got a pilot candidate that was left eye dominant, they'd have him pull a pair of men's y-fronts over his head covering the left eye and leaving the right one open. Then they'd sit him in a jeep and make him drive around the base for a week or so. If the eye could be trained to be dominant all was well, if not he got re-assigned to fly blackhawks or some other whirly bird.

My Brother in law flew in the US navy and saw a lucky person undergoing this therapy on a liason with some grunt pilots
