A few weeks back I ordered some (10 boxes) 380 gr/.375 bullets directly from Rhino bullets in the RSA, they were shipped on the 13th and they arrived today. Not bad for half way around the world. The US distributor in Texas was out of the 380's and was not going to order any more, due to the poor exchange rate. Kobus is trying to get distribution in Canada, I guess we'll see what happens.

Let me know how they work in your peashooter.............I wouldn't mind getting some for my .375 as well. I know a couple of hunters in the US that really like those bullets.

I tested the 380's fairly extensively last summer. As you can see accuracy was pretty good, but the real clincher came with the terminal ballistics tests. I compared Barnes 270 XLC's at 2800, Barnes Original 300 gr X's at 2600, and the Rhino 380's at 2300. Shooting was done from 25 yards and penetration into 5 gallon oil pails full of wet drill mud was exactly equal, fully penetrating 2 pails, and marking but not penetrating the third. The X's split the pails, but the 380's tore the pails to pieces. The recovered X Bullets were identical except for the length of the shank, and expanded to .62", the petals were gone. The Rhino was intact and measured .92" and retained something like 98% of it's weight - about 70% for the X's. I'll weigh them tomorrow and edit the post accordingly.

will they stabiulize in a standard 12" twist ?

My barrel is a standard 1:12, and according to Rhino's web page there is no problem stabalizing these bullets in any standard .375 H&H barrel. They seem to have good reports from the field when loaded to 2200 fps in the H&H.
