RIA 10-22 clone

These RIA M22's shipped with Butler Creek clear, steel lipped, 10 round magazines.

Butler Creek lists the 25 Round magazines in both clear and smoke on their web site (much debated topic).

The Ruger factory 10 round magazines function fine in the RIA.

Thankyou.
And yes, much debated topic to say the least...I`ll leave that alone !

Just got an email back from them.
They have no more in stock and it was a 1 time deal.
So they won't have any more.

No that sux.

Yes, Jason told me I got the last one, no more coming in.Too bad too, as I would have liked to get another.

The only reason I even thought about getting this thing ,is because I was at C-Tire and they had one for sale, but I didn`t like the stock. Then I googled and saw a few reviews, then I checked out the dealer and noticed he one left, just bare bones.

Drove there yesterday at door opening and snapped her up.

Just good timing on my part and a chain of events.

other places have them or have had them.
just need to look around and do some searching.

im guessing with the RIA getting sued from Ruger in the US probably scared a bunch of the shipments our way over the last year or so.

Bought one for my daughter at Sehlin's shop. Three weeks later she took it back and got a refund. Damn thing never worked right out of the box. I bought her a Henry .22 and she loves it!

Some of the bores were pretty rough on these as well. I had a decent one for a bit, I actually liked the beefy hardwood stock but the stain was terrible. Had to retap the scope base holes to 6-48 as they all stripped with the supplied screws. The aluminum is soft, some of the metal was well finished, other pieces were brutal and full of tool marks.
It worked fine for me, just wasn't very accurate and I already had a nice 10/22 put together. If you get a decent one, would make for a good beater rifle.

Actually,I took off the front sight and the screw totally tore apart.......bad metal (I use Chapman tools and the proper fitting slotted screw driver bit)

I have no illusions of what this rifle is, a good beater/plinker.

Did you have any problems mounting your scope and bore sighting it with a weaver rail? I have put one on mine but the rear of the rail is low and won't bore sight correctly

How can you bore sight a 10/22 without removing the bolt & adding a hole in the back of the receiver? I usually use a collimator when aligning a new scope.

Weaver rail worked fine as there was enough adjustment in the scope. Skipped bore sighting as the scope was previously zeroed on another rifle. It was on paper from first shots fired.*

*it was a large piece of paper;-)
