RIA Ruger 10/22 Clone

Does anyone have any experiance with the RIA Ruger 10/22 clone? I'm thinking about picking one up just for parts.
 
I'm on the waiting list a Vancouver shop for a specific 10/22, put down a deposit, as a courtesy when they get various other 10/22's in they give me a call if they have not been presold. Have had a few offers in the last couple months. If you really want a new 10/22 and aren't waiting for very specific models they are not had to find.
 
that are at least the same if not better then what ruger is putting out today in 10/22

no one has them yet, but they are coming shortly.

I know the SFRC email said....
Rock Island Armory M22's for $239.95. These are basically Ruger 10/22
clones made by RIA.

They are excellent quality and only $239.95. All 10/22 parts and kits fit them.

We saw previously that the barrels and receivers are different dimensions on the RIA and after market barrels would not fit. That needs to be clarified before saying "all 10/22 parts n kits fit"

Aluminum trigger housings.

I have one, and its cute. Mine Needs a little sanding done to the stock/magwell to allow magazine to insert and drop freely. Otherwise it's reliable and reasonably accurate.

I got mine from Prairie Gun Traders a number of months go for $250.
 
So, 10/22 improved upon? Or clone trying to undercut Ruger? I know for that price it's not a Dlask or Volquartsen, but how is the overall quality?

I would argue it is improved over what Ruger currently offers. It is all metal and wood, with no plastic parts at all. The barrel band is steel, and the trigger-group is aluminum. The stock is quite beefy, however the iron sight leave something to be desired. Rear sight is much like and old Winchester lever gun or Cooey, while the front sight is fiber-optic, though mine is bent up. It feels and works solid, and it more adult sized than the Ruger 10-22. It ultimately depends what reason you are buying it for. As the basis for a custom gun, it's quite useless, but as a direct replacement for a factory stock Ruger 10/22, I think it does an admirable, and even better job.

Well, that kills the idea of ever buying one.
 
I just tried one. They fit fine in 10/22 stocks but the barrels don't interchange. The RIA one seems to be slightly bigger.
