Have two projects that require the removal of the rib.
Neither barrel nore rib will be used for the purpose it was originally designed.
Heating is no problem - but I was informed they may have been screwed or pinned on.
Has anyone done this before? Wondering if like sxs, are they silver soldered?
Experiences greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about the Remington shotgun barrels but there is a great possibility the 'rib studs' are spot welded to the barrel. They have done that in the past with the rib on rifle barrels.

Its soldered. Propane torch on the rib for 30- 45 seconds and the joint is free.
There als seems to me a gove on each post running breech to muzzle whis is filled with
the solder material. One cut off a gunsmith gave me today has a tiny surface hole in the barrel
under each post which was filled with solder. No welds.
