Now we're talking! We would have to borrow some republicans to run our show up here though......our conservatives are pretty much just liberals wearing suits......:(

I have long given up trying to figure out the reasoning behind our firearms laws.

But, to my American brothers.... nice collections:)

And a final photo "from days gone by" for your viewing pleasure.

This picture is of my maternal Grandmother, standing left. Her sister, and her mother(sitting). Picture taken approx 1907-1910, in Tattnall County, Ga. My Grandmother raised me after my Mother was killed by my s/father when I was 7. She was a sweetie.. She died in 1964.

My g-grandfather was in the Confederate army, captured up "Nawth" someplace, held POW, then pardoned at end of war.. He walked home. He gave my Grandmother a 1802 silver dollar when she was a child, and I still have it put away.

I think I've run out of old stuff photos, guess I'm stuck with either pictures of guns, or my old El Camino?

Best Wishes,

J. Pomeroy

These are my maternal grandparents William and Jane Hart. Yes, they were Scots that moved to the Seaforth, Ontario area. Yes, he died of wounds on 9/26/1918 with the Armistice 47 days away. Isn't war a grand thing? Regards, Richard:confused:

Neat photo!

My father's older brother was drowned in the weird, accidental sinking of the USS America in the New Jersey harbor which happened shortly before the end of WW1..

Guess your Uncle William, and my Uncle Robert (Pomeroy) didn't have the best timing did they?

Thanks for sharin'

Nice history Laserlips.

My grandfather was killed in WW2, his brother recieved a Bronze Star after action in Europe, and actually got to meet Patton in Belgium.

I would be interested to see a piccy of the silver dollar next time you are snapping away. ;)

Hi HKfan:

Man, that WW2 was a mess.... Probably the last time there was easily a "bad guys" vs "good guys" war...

Wish the boundry was as clear today..

As for the silver dollar.. Truthfully it's not much to look it.. It's not shiny, but dark, and "well used"... My Grandmother and I (when I was a boy) had it checked out and the 1802 sd wasn't very valuable.. The 1804's now WERE valuable.. Wish old Grandpap had given her one of those!:dancingbanana:

Of course if he had we'd have sold it and spent the money long ago..

I keep the old silver dollar in our safety deposit box for our Son..

Patton was a character.. His biography makes pretty interesting reading.

Best Wishes,

J. Pomeroy

Capp325, have you ever been to Mexico? My wife and I stay with a family that treat us like kin. Mexquitic de Carmona is a small village in the state of San Luis Potosi; the people in the village are polite, and work very hard. I only wish the people in the USA and Canada were as hard working and courteous. Regards, Richard:D

Someone please post a pic of a Black Special or 10.5 AR quick, it'll hold them while we get our excuses made up.

( and it'll distract them so we don't have to try to explain why we can't defend ourselves)

The answer is Canada is under the USA's defense umbrella and therefore, Canada can use its resources for things other than the military. If you are speaking of personal defense the answer is you are a kinder gentler society and gang violence does not exist in Canada. RIGHT! Regards and best, Richard :D

These handguns were made in Canada but are exported to the USA. Why? They are too evil for Canadians to possess! Regards, Richard:D

+1 Mexicans are some of the nicest, gentlest and hardest working people anywhere. The phone systems, banking systems, and toll expressways are world class and put the Canadian ones to shame. They suffer from volatile government and excessive bureaucracy (just like Canada:rolleyes: ) but the corruption there is no worse that that found in Canada (can't speak for the US generally, although Enron and Whitewater come to mind, as do the Lieberals in Quebec, Gagliano's never refuted alleged Mafia connections, the Nortel and Bronfman stock collapses up here). Take the time to learn a bit of the language & go outside the tourist traps like Cancun etc you'll be amazed.
