Are these guys still in business ?? has anyone else been able to get a hold of them ? when I call it says the # is unavailable for my area... I see in the past people have received stocks directly from them. But the last time I got a hold of them they said they could not ship to Canada ...

I want a target blank from them in the rosewood color ... tried boyds, but they dont have a pretty red color and their blanks dont have enough material on the buttstock to fulfill my project.

Oh damn, just did some research into their past history on dealing with Canadians cou: Would it make sense that they have shut themselves away from Canada all together? even blocking Canadian numbers ?

Dealt with them in the past... as long as you weren't in rush... average delivery was about 6-9 months..

Don't know what the fuss was all about. Unfinished stock are just a piece of lumber and there are (were) no special control requirement to export it from the US... at least that what I got back from the friendly folks at the ATF

I'm looking into getting I run guns to import a blank from them for me... But the problem now is I can't even get a hold of them to place an order! They have seemed to cut off all contact to Canada/Canadians....

Just contacted Boyds about ordering a slab, but they don't offer them.

Anybody else know a place where I can get a large laminate blank?

These guys might be worth a phone call

Yah a color plan that is or looks similar to rosewood.

been doing a ton of research now.... I may be able to contact Richards now, their (800) isnt working but the (818) might (it atleast dialed lol) A problem that may come up with Richards though is that I read somewhere (if in fact true) that they receive their laminate panels from Rutland, the same place as Boyds, which makes me wonder if their blank dimensions are in fact the same as boyds (which means they wont work for me) even through they are drawn differently on the websites.

Ive also stumbled upon other Laminate providers...

SO theres that Dressels place that Mauser suggested, and they seem to sell nice natural wood color blanks in the size I need so that could very well be an option

Theres Rutland, but they supposedly have a minimal order policy of 4 blanks, They use a laminate system called "Stratabond" which is what Boyds uses. blank sizes and color schemes they offer is yet to be determined
http://www.rutply.com/

There is CWP Cousineau Wood Products and they offer a laminate system called "Spectraply" They offer the sizes I need but no color schemes I like.

There is Lamnia, but things get confusing with them because they offer the right sizes with good color choices BUT their blanks are called "CWP" which leads me to imply they are the same blanks as the "spectraply"; However on the sight they state that the blanks are made in Finland (Spectraply is supposedly made in Maine, USA) and only with water resistant wood glue (which doesnt sound very strong)??

Finally I came across a company called Webbwood, they offer some VERY nice colors and possibly the right sizes. They offer a Laminate system called "Webbwood" which they compare as being the same strength and quality of "Spectraply" and "Diamondwood" (a system offered by Rutland but possibly lower quality than "stratabond" maybe ??)

Is there any stock makers here or others who can chime in on the quality of "Spectraply", Diamoundwood", "Webbwood" and maybe the Finnish "CWP" ??????????????????????????????????????????????? thanks

Richards won't ship across the border still, as of march this year. They will however answer your call now, used to have to call from an American number.
Rutland plywood burnt down in 2014 and never rebuild due to family financial issues.
Not sure where Boyd's gets their supply now as it was Rutland.
I have never been able to contact a CWS rep. Although I haven't tried from an American number either.
As for the Lamnia it does appear to be a CWS product
