Ricjards Microfit

I'm willing to bet with the new $500 export limit they can once again resume exports to Canada. For a time they had a very obvious note on their site stating they no longer export their stocks. Before that they had to impose additional fees for the early damage critter did. I'm very happy to see they are exporting again, they make some damn nice stocks at really good prices. Lets hope some #### doesn't go on a head-first mission to ruin it again.

lol

Im looking at another stock

I was going to by a TH from boyds, but now looked at the tacticool and want that again. I know you can get one shipped to you, but can anyone import one for you?

ITAR will not allow the tacticool to be exported from the US unfortunately. I believe there is no legal way to get one other than buying a Savage rifle factory equipped with one or buying one from Savage. The other models of tacticool are unobtanium. All the other stocks from Boyds can be exported and there is no more $100 limit, its $500 now.

just got of the phone with them not taking international orders and no plans to in the future.

The $500 limit is irrelevant. All it means is that the exporter doesn't have to get an individual export license for the order. It doesn't mean they are exempt from all the export regulations and registrations. The exporter and manufacturers still have to be registered with the State Department, and they still have to inform the State Department of each and every export. The basic registration for export of ITAR items costs $2750 a year. Plus they will have their own paperwork for submissions, etc.

And a third party exporter can't export them either, because the manufacturer also has to have the annual registration with the State Department.
