Rifle barrel makers in Canada?

Hi all,

Anyone know a rifle barrel maker that makes barrels for savage regular action rifles. I am looking for a heavy varment barrel for a stevens 200 in 30-06.

What is required to import a rifle barrel from the states? Can I order one and have it shipped close to the border and cross and carry it across myself? Are there importation rules to bring rifle parts into Canada?

Unless you have the tools and expertise use your local gunsmith if you like him and he can supply and fit a barrel to your action.

To get a barrel out of the US requires quite a bit of paperwork. It is a US law regarding a barrel leaving the US. You can not legally cross the border without the paperwork.

If you do a search you may find these questions answered 100 times already.
