What are the prices for barrels these days?

Besides Ron Smith are their any other Canadian Barrel makers?

Rob MacLennan in Wyebridge, Ontario makes good barrels.

Ted Gaillard makes barrels out of St Brieux SK which are very good. I don't know his prices now but they are probably the same as Shilen's and others. Give him a call he's not that scary as some folks have made out. h ttp://www.gaillard.shootingpaul.com/gaillardpricelist.html

I have installed a few hundred of Ted's barrels... they are good. Of all the different makes of match quality barrels I have installed, in setting them up in the lathe, I don't think I have seen any bores straighter than a Gaillard.

Ted's barrels have the nicest internal finish I have ever seen, he must be pretty fussy about his lapping process. Never a disappointment with RKS barrels either, seeing more and more Jury barrels through the shop that perform equally as well as the others mentioned. Price wise they are all in the same ball park.
