rifle barrel threading

I am looking at buying a used firearm. The barrel is not threaded. I was wondering what the avg cost is of getting a barrel threaded is.

My dilemma is that I can probably buy the same rifle brand new for about 175 dollars more that has a threaded barrel already with a A1 flash sup on it.

The used one is in great shape and also comes with an aftermarket scope so trying to figure out is it's worth used or buy new.

The vast majority of rifles do not come threaded for any sort of muzzle attachment...

Yes just for looks . I could buy one of this adaptors look worse

"...just for looks..." You can buy flash hiders that are held on with pins. The C1A1's FH was like that. However, Epp's charges $100 plus the cost of the brake to install one. Kind of pricey to make a .22 look slick.

Ya but we all waste money on our firearms. I could buy a 10/22 and spend hundreds
