I'm looking at swapping the x-mark trigger on my rem 700 for a rifle basix LV-1K adjustable from 8oz to 1.5 lbs. How do they compare to other brands? I'm not expecting jewel type quality but i dont have a jewel budget. The rifle is a .223 and used mostly for target and the odd coyote hunt. I'm not interested in the heavier 1.5-4 lbs. dont really see the point of swapping for basicaly the same pull weight. Let me know your opinions on them. Looking at this brand because a friend is a dealer for them.

I have them on two of my rifles and will not change. Rifle basix is my go trigger. They are easy to install, fully adjustible, I love them.

As a disclaimer, I dont have alot to really relate them to other than a timney trigger I had, and some tuned savage triggers.

I'm using the same RB in my .223 and really like it. I'll be buying another soon for my .308.
RB support is top notch also, I sent an email with a Q about my trigger. I sent the email after midnight and had a reply before 1:00am, no kidding!

I will say, I've never bought or used a Jewel and glad for that. Maybe I wouldn't like my RB so much if I had. ;)

I have jewels, rifle basix, timney..........

If you have nothing to compare it to you will be happy......the rifle basix compared to the the jewell....well I doubt your finger and your brain could tell much difference between the two....light and crisp are light and crisp, if you can feel a difference then you either need to wash your trigger out with lighter fluid and or adjust it..............

I pull on a rifle trigger well over 500 times a month......I can't tell the difference, when I swap rifles I dry fire a couple of times to reprogram the brain....then settle back in for business..........

i have one of there triggers on my smallbore rifle and i made a big diffrence in the groups i could pull out, easy to install and great quality cant speak for the remintion triggers but i wouldnt hesitate to buy another trigger from then, i loved being able to call them and the person answering the phone is the owner great company!

I'll give the good nod to Clay at rifle basix as well!
Great customer service..fast shipping and a great product to boot!
I've put 6 of them into some Savage rifles for my buds and 2 of my own. My buddys best groups were always about 2 1/2 inches or so @ 100 yds with his Sav 111 in 270. They went to 1 1/2 with JUST the trigger swap!
He was very pleased and now even brags a little about his old Savage ! :D :D

Like Yodadave I shoot over 500 rounds per month evenly split between a RPA ( two stage ) Barnard, Jewel and RB. The RB is set for a heavier pull as it is on the PGW Coyote which will be used for a tac match with a minimum required let off whereas the others are used on purely target guns and therefore have been lightened but setting aside those trigger weight differences the triggers all perform excellently and you will not be disappointed with the RB.

Just installed a Rifle Basix ERV-3k that I got from Jerry due to this thread. Definitely an improvement from the factory trigger.
