I have used mostly JB weld for my bedding jobs, have also tried MarineTex and the next job will be done with Devcon Plastic Steel.
I have been happy with the JB so far.
Someone stated not to scrimp on the release agent.....not sure what they meant but the release agent should be applied to all surfaces of the action and then buffed off so it is only a micro-thin layer that remains, you should not have gobs of the stuff on your action since you want to have as little between the action and the bedding as possible. The ACRAGLASS (not accuglass) release agent is truly horrible since it puts a .001-.002 layer of gunk between the action and the bedding and if you apply more in one section than another you are not getting a proper bed of the action. I use Mothers Liquid Carnuba wax applied with a brush and then polished of with a paper towel.
