Rifle build ideas - need help!

6mm AI . I think I read it works best in the long action to launch the high B.C. bullets to avoid crowding the powder capacity. (I may be wrong though).

I dont have any true big-bores but there isnt much I can think of that will work on a standard long action except maybe a 416 Ruger.

The .425 Westley Richards uses a rebated rim... standard ,473" so you don't have to modify the bolt face, and it's short enough to work in a standard length action.

You have no holes to fill...

So, I would trade the bolt for a magnum one and build a .458 Lott...just cause...:)

If you want something for big game then go 35 whelen if you want a long range coyote, deer gun get a 25-06AI it will almost keep up to the 257wby and with 100 grain barnes x it will take elk and moose no problem, actually just go 25-06AI you can use it on everything and you will get to know your gun because you will use it alot more.I used to believe in the big calibers but since barnes x bullets came out it was a game changer I have shot alot of elk with my custom 257 wby and some real nice herd bulls and I have never recovered a barnes x bullet non of the elk went more than 80 yards.
