Three Great choices, I'm biased and woul choose the ruger, the new trigger is supposed to be better as well, cant' say never having pulled one. But what I would suggest you go some where that you can get you hans on these rifles preferably all three at the same place(which may be impossible) and see which one fits/feels better or just looks more pleasing to your eye and you will make a fine decision on your own from there! I would't worry about stainless unless your hunting in the rain often.
 
Don't overlook that you get a really good ring system with the Ruger at no additional cost.

I used to have an older Ruger 77 varmint rifle but I couldn't get it to shoot acceptably so sold it. Now I have a 77 Mk II stainless varmint/target that is an absolute tack driver. I've heard that the difference is that Ruger started making their own hammer forged barrels and no longer has to rely on outside suppliers.
 
Don't overlook the tikka rifles either. With the recent price drops, they're becoming a more attractive proposition. The major problem with tikka's has always been value for dollar, but they are excellent guns
 
I was at Crappy Tire here in calgary (they sell guns) and I over heard the guy say that it would be march before Savage guns started flowing into the country again because of their permit problem. I met a Savage distributor at that store last summer, so I assume they have a good relationship with their distributor and have their facts straight.

Those are all good choices, the one I like is the Ruger Hawkeye in Stainless. But if you are open to others then look at the Tikka T3 Lite Stainless also. The stainless will be more maintenance free than the blued rifles.

Savage: simple & outta the box, very accurate.
Remington: Accurate, fancy & optional mods available.
Ruger: rugged, exellent bush rifles.

I currently have a Ruger M77 and a Rem 700 if its the stock your worried about I like my Ruger better for that, it's got a very good Laminated stock, the Remington is Synthetic and cheap feeling but the trigger was VERY easy to adjust and works great. I've not owned a Savage but have a couple of friends who do and they are also quite happy.
If i was spending what your looking to spend i'd probably lean towards the Ruger I think but you have to live with the decision, pick what your comfortable with.
 
Go Savage

I have a Savage 1o FP 308 Win with the choat stock. At 100yards it shoots sub MOA with store bought ammo. And is even tighter with hand loads. Many a time my rifle out performs 700’s that cost a lot more. In Montréal you can have a 10FP with Acutrigger Bulled and crowned barrel. Oversized bolt handle and the barrel is 1’10 twist rate for 550$ from Dante if he is in a good mood of course this is the model without the chaot sniper stock. It is true that the plain Jane stock sucks big time but you can order a Duramax stock from stocky’s like I did today for 89$USD. Fro shooting paper you are better off with the choat stock which adds another 200 to the price but the stock sure feels good. It is my belief that the savage is the best bang for the buck.
