Went to the range with my 2 new ported 2002 1895M Guide gun and took my Steyr Big Bore 450 Marlin, shot the 3 of them with the same load (Leverevolution 325 gr) and i was very surprised to see that my Steyr 450M had alot less felt recoil than my 2 ported Marlin, can just assume that the quality configuration of the Steyr take away alot of the recoil, compare to the Marlins, the Steyr is a pussycat... Did order some 400 gr A-Frame to prepare some serious reloads for my Steyr... Will try them in my Marlins... just to see how it will hurt... Cheers. JP.
