"But I've never seen as much attitude as John gives in any business...Except maybe a pawn shop."

There is a simple solution for ANY person or gun shop that wants to do a better job and maybe do it without any "attitude"
Work like a dog for many years with minimum return....
Invest everything you have, sometimes at considerable risk....
be prepared to catch hell at every turn....
after a while you can purchase larger inventories....
become completely self suffecient after many years

or simply buy me out and run it your way....
John

I've seen a lot of simple questions asked by people who were promised something at a certain time, when they ask where it is 6 months after the promised time, they get attitude. Maybe you're in an abusive relationship and like it lol, I am not and won't do business like that. So maybe my 10k spent elsewhere on firearms and related items won't change anything but still. I run a $4 mil a year retail store with only me and 3 staff and deal with morons all day that expect the world for $1, and expect for us to wait on them hand and foot after spending $200, so I understand how it can be, but the difference in being professional and being a spaz is knowing how to deal with those people (even though sometimes it means to tell them to gtfo).

I like his attitude. People need to stop being treated like coddled little children. "Oh I'm a customer you must diaper my ass no matter how much of an ass I am." Bah makes me sick.

Agreed. But I've never seen as much attitude as John gives in any business...Except maybe a pawn shop.

He will always have his nuthuggers and yes he has accomplished a lot and had much hardship. No excuse for the attitude. It's so irritating walking on egg shells just to ask a simple question.

I can understand him giving attitude to someone saying something derogatory. It's the responses he gives to ordinary, reasonable questions.

Irritating as f*@k. :p

Yep agreed. I am not a silverspoon baby either, I know hardship, half my family died in WW2, I immigrated from Ukraine 6 months after the wall came down with $400 in my pocket so if he thinks Russian jews had it any easier in the old USSR he is mistaken, but I still manage to be decent to people unless they are complete asses in which case the attitude would be justified.

I have repeated myself many, many times regarding delays.... We are at the mercy of off shore producers, many of our firearms are scheduled 12-18 months ahead.... when they don't arrive on time we get hell, I understand the clients frustration, but on the other hand what can we do....This is why we removed the "Expected delivery page" the staff was catching hell for every delay.... at least now when it arrives we post it to the site....
I have told people many times that we have hundreds of e mail per day that need replies, add in dozens of phone calls that deand immediate attention (mine first)
yes my replies are sometime short....If people feel my replies have "attitude, then I apologize, perhaps an alternative method of addressing the issues might be suggested ?

" Maybe you're in an abusive relationship and like it lol"
I have been married for 46 years, I am way past thinking about abuse....

Judging by your feelings towards your customers (morons) I can see that we share similar frustrations....

The best part is that these same, very impatient, people will wait 12-18 months for life saving, open heart surgery but dang sh1t if that gun is late!!!

:confused::confused:

ROFL.....I have not been back to this post since the original exciting announcement. Then people waiting up, not sleeping, not eating and wearing adult depends diapers so they didn't miss a post. And the beat goes on. Now the store is for sale, people are paying for open heart surgery and I am sure there is someone still reading every post to catch up. Gentleman I think this has the true making of a reality series. John can we meet at your secret private facility to start filming 2011? This is the break we have all been waiting for. Lol

We don't PAY for open heart surgery in Canada{God I hope some Americans are reading} Guns on the oter hand..........:p

Oh yes we do! This has nothing to do with this thread but it's a pet peeve of mine when someone says OHIP or medical care in Canada is free! Who the heck do you think pays for it?????? And don't say the government or I'll lose respect for you as an intelligent person.:mad:

We all pay communally, yes thru taxes. I have seen first hand what the hospital and surgical team charge for such an operation.....it would blow you away...and NOT one Canadian if they find themselves in such an unfortunate spot will have to re morgage their holmes or cash in life savings because an insurance carrier won't cover the cost....that's if you have an insurance carrier that is.:).....Can you imagine the cost involved if you were to have say diabeties and no coverage.I like their gun laws, but i love our health care!
