My origional recoil pad on my rem mod 700BDL .300 Win Mag would leave a serious bruise on my shoulder after 10 rounds through it. After I installed a $60 Limbsaver recoil pad I can shoot my gun until my wallet says its enough. A good recoil pad is the worlds of difference.
