Perhaps this has been asked before, but here goes, can a 1967 Winchester Canadian Centennial rifle barrel, magazine, and fore end be removed from its original receiver and attached to another Winchester 94 receiver? Thinking of this as a future project. But I heard that this fore end has a peculiar method of fastening that is not gunsmith friendly.

Opinions please?

If the face of the receiver you are looking at using is identical to the original, I can't see why it wouldn't fit. The forend attachment points are on the barrel and mag tube.

Ultimately my goal is to have this barrel, fore end and magazine removed and remounted on to a pre 64 action. It's a very accurate barrel that deserves a better mechanism.
The original action is a mess of worn parts not viable to fix. Cheers.
