So here it goes.....

This rifle was new, and i'm starting to notince some wear, around the bolt edges, and the inside of the reciever where the bolt slides back after 120 rounds. The blueing is being scraped away and i'm noticing some silverish wear...not owning an M14 befor, i'm just not sure. I've been using break-free, a light coat, on the tracks, and bolt/bolt roller, before firing. Is this not enough? do i need or should i be using grease? or am i just noticing a little wear and tear???????

What is the best lube to use in the M14 reciever bolt track and bolt roller just before firing......... a light coat of break free, or some grease ?????

let me know will ya, M14 owners........

Head over to Cambodian Tire. Some peple prefer the white coloured lithium grease since you can see where it has been appled already. I just use the cheapest Molybdenum Disulfide grease (wheel bearing) tube that sold for $ 3.00. Then I use a popsicle stick to "spoon" it into a syringe that you can buy at Lee Valley Tools. This syringe can reach all the necessary places (of wear).

:D
