I've been looking for a stock pouch for two of my rifles but I can't decide on what to pick up. The Eagle packs look pretty decent but has anyone seen one that has a raised cheek piece built in?

I have one of the eagle ones, the best part is the material used on the cheek piece, very soft but firm and comfortable to shoot from.

one pain was the direction of the zipper on the pouch.. always figured it should either be double or zipped from the other way.

Here it is on my old .308

I'm a fan of the Eagle pouch because that material is nicer on the cheek. I also have a Blackhawk, but that Nytaneon(sp?) material takes some getting used to.

My 2 M700 Hunting rifles in .223 and .308:

Hope this helps!

Cheers,

I picked one up from seals action gear in calgary. They were one of the few that I could find that had an olive drab color in stock. I love it, and if you need to build up the height more you could put an extra bit of padding underneath it and it should be held in place well.

May want to look at the Blackhawk IVS Performance Cheek Pad - thermo-molded, zippered pouch, cartridge loops and can build up the height.

I've seen these before as well but I'm not entirely sure how you can "build them up" so to speak for cheek weld. They would have to have something between the pouch and the stock of the rifle, which is the same as the Eagle is it not?

I use computer mouse pads to build up for cheek weld.
Just cut to size.

Wow, that's a beautiful place you have to shoot from.

I did something similar on one of my rifles before putting white camo wrap over it. I ended up using foam edging similar to a hollowed out and split pool noodle. It works pretty good but it's not quite as thick as I would like it to be.

Where did you pick it up at?

i believe i saw something very similar to ceriksons stock pouch at M.D. Charlton Co.

i saw one at use at the range too and i would really like one for my walnut stocked hunt'n rig - protection plus more space to carry stuff. i really like em.
you may have to order a catalog or call to see: i find the web site a bit difficult, then again i am no master browser :p

good shoot'n..............

the Blackhawk one is good, I have had 2, but the Eagle is a lot more comfortable, I have the Eagle on my 700P and LTR and they are out of this world comfortable, I have had them both for a long time, more then the BH units and they are holding up great.
