Hey Gunnutz.

I'm tried to find out who does rifle stock refinishing and checkering in British Columbia? So far I've only come across Jenning Outdoor Sports, Corlanes, and I think Rusty Wood does it as well? Anyone else of note? Or across Canada even?

Many thanks!!

Sorry I cannot answer your question directly,so I will add teh following. I do not know what kind of stock, or its condition, nor do I know your schedule, but..... Why not give it a go on your own. It is a relatively simple, cheap, very rewarding, and an enjoyable thing to do, to me anyways (this is also dependant on the stock being in decent shape, just needing to be refinished). Just pick up some boiled linseed oil, some sandpaper, steel wool, and have at it. I usually do a coat of oil a day, followed by a light sanding with steel wool, and apply again until you are satisfied. I like around 10 coats myself. If you do, just tape up the checkering and you are good to go. Just a thought.
