The cheapass stocks offered lately can also be looked at as a plus, if you're planning on going with an aftermarket stock anyhow. With remington, you can now get the action (which may be all you want) -for many hundreds less than it would have cost previously, and you aren't stuck flogging the vls or pss stock on the EE.

Anybody wanna throw their cheapass SPS stocks AT me... you are welcome to! I'll take them all. I love playing with them and often I'll try to open up the barrel channel and see if I can tweak the groups under an inch and then hopefully 3/4".
My M700 SPS .223 is great for carrying around the groundhog fields, especially with my TAN painted (Krylon, of course...) SPS stock so that the earthpigs can't see me sneaking up on them.
My buddy loves them, too.
So any of you super disgusted with the SPS stock ? We'll take 'em off yer hands for the price of the mailing!! yeeeha!
