Does anyone have a stock replicator? I don't think that that is the right term...........uhm a machine that copies rifle stocks? Dammit words just aren't coming out right.
or is the only way to reproduce rifle stocks (lee Enfields/mauser) the file and saw method??

Cheers

They're big, expensive machines. Knew a guy, long ago, who made stocks for muzzle loaders who had one.
"...the file and saw method??..." And router.
Here's a guy who builds them to order. Add the W's.

Nice Marba, I have had some great suggestions so far. One of the reason's I am asking is that I may be coming into a bunch of black Walnut/European Walnut. I know that it needs to age/dry but gathering information

Cheers

I think there is a fellow called Wilcox who makes stocks for Paul Reibin in BC, you could check with him. The machines are actually fairly simple. I recently saw one on ebay that one could easily make after getting a few ideas and if made precisely with quality materials would work well.

Wilcox, Wilson, Trace, maybe Stricker, Clark. I'm experimenting with a machine that I'm making from plans. It should be able to do useful work.
In the past, I've carved gunstocks using a North Star carving machine - a multi spindle pantograph. Interesting experience.
