Rifled barrel 410 shotgun

Does anybody makes them? It would be awesome deer shotgun for hunting with sabots in shotgun only zones. Semi auto would be a bonus too

H&R 45/410 survivor is the first thing I thought of.

You might want to check and see if a 410 can be used for deer, I think it 20 ga is the smallest in ontario

The survivor can shoot 45 colt so maybe he can still use it for deer?

20 ga is the smallest gauge allowed for big game in Ontario.

Actually a 410 is legal for deer hunting in Ontario. You have to read the regulations carefully. 410 when loaded with a slug is legal, but when loaded with shot it wouldn’t be. The regs say nothing loaded with shot smaller then 20 gauge and then nothing smaller then #1 buck.

A .410 slug has about the same power as a .357 mag, but with more limited range, so many better choices. I have often thought about using my .410 Citori for a deer hunt with the ability for two quick shots.

.410 with slugs is legal for controlled hunt in Ontario. But you’d have to show me where I can find 410 sabots before I’d get too excited about a rifled barrel 410 autoloader. 20 g is as light as I would use personally. I like exit wounds.

Never used my Savage 24 .22/.410 on deer but the Russian Silver Bear 3" steel case slugs shoot hard and to point of aim at 50 yards.If needed they would suffice.

You could buy a henry 410 lever carbine.They come with iron sights and open choke set up for slugs but because it s smooth bore can be used for rabbits as well.it is also drilled and tapped for a scope

By reading it, seems people are wanting a dual purpose gun for Ontario.

My thought by the title was the 45-45-70 with the gallery load of #8 shot sealed with wax. A 10yd survival load.

They call the .410 the cripple stick for a reason. The slugs are ok for killing hogs in a pen but aside from that they are not much good for anything else. The slugs are light,soft and inaccurate in the 8-10 410s I’ve owned.

Stock Henry lever 410s are not yet legal to hunt in ontario yet. Henry is making a longer plunger to reduce capacity.
You can not simply add a plug because the gun doesnt need to be dissassembled to remove it

There's a fella on youtube in Japan who kills deer by the bucket load using a Remington 700 .410 slug gun.

Not sure we're you got your info but every deer I see. Shot out if a tree stand with s 410 slug did not go very far
Yes you would have limited range but at 50 yards and under A 410 slug through the lungs will get the job done every time

Have to agree especially with today's slugs. Many a deer fell back in the day to a 410 cooey

That's right it's all about knowing how far you can shoot .my grandfather feed his family of 10 kids with a old 2520 .today people laugh at you if you showed up in deer camp with somthing like that8
