Cletus,

From what I've found out from researching various US dealer websites, the Hastings barrels are usually a bit more expensive than the factory Remington barrels.

It might not be cheaper but I think they are much more nicely made. I have a Hastings Wad Lock barrel with choke tubes and it is beautiful. Very high quality. The only thing I didn't like about it was "Made in France".

I got mine from Cabella's a few years back when that was not a problem.

Rifled Barrels

Yes, Remington barrel is cheaper but Hastings has a bull barrel.
Cabela's have what I need but they can not ship it to Québec. Custom???

None of you guys are talking "Rate of Twist' this is extremely important in a rifled barrel to shoot the latest sabots.
A 1:28 ROT is optimum.... and I have not seen a Hastings Barrel with the faster twist.
The Hastings I have seen and used were all much slower ROT (1:36 if I remember correctly) this worked good with the old tech waisted pellet type sabots ( Winchester and Federal ) that shot about 1500-1700 fps.
