Out deer hunting this past week and once again our group was smaller and the deer were further away than last year. So i was thinking of a slug gun for next year for blocking my question is what kind of reasonable range and accuracy can be expected? Gun scoped or red dot or reflex?

Ya not so. Going by ballistic charts on ammo like rem accu tip, Winchester golds, Hornady SSt. They shoot flat out to 150 yards and drop 10" at 200 yards.
With enough practice 150-200 yards would be quite obtainable.
I shot with a red dot in the November hunt. Just picked up a win 1300 with rifled barrel. Open fiber sights. Going to replace the tru glo sights with Williams fire sights and see what kind of accuracy I can get out to 100 yards.
I normally push/dog so the scope kinda got in my way. If I can't get good accuracy with opens I'll go back to the red dot.
Most people mount 1-4 power scopes.
I would shoot at a deer at 150 yards quite comfortably. I have a rifled cantilever barrel, with a leupold 1-4 mounted. The accuracy is actually pretty astounding to me. Previously I was a smooth bore and red dot guy and limited myself to 75 yards with challenger slugs, although I could generally make good hits on a standard target at 100.e
