Does anyone know where I can find a 20ga benelli mobil rifled choke ? I know Carlsons has one 40051 but can't find anyone that has any
Doesn't matter manufacturer either.
Thanks !

Try talking to Martin at Corwin Arms. A few years back he had some 20ga shotguns that came with a rifled choke that was mobilchoke threads. I wouldn't be surprised if he had some left.

You have peaked my interest why you would want a rifled choke for a 20 ga. They do virtually nothing to enhance accuracy in a 12, what's the advantage in a 20?

I don't want it... a family friend does, he thinks it will help with sabots because he can't buy a rifled barrel. I did find a choke, dealer out Ottawa way.

Lots of YouTube videos showing a rifled choke does nothing for sabots as well. The projectile tumbles and keyholes through the target in all the videos.

Buffalo's Outdoors did show a pretty good case for the rifled choke with standard rifled slugs:

That being said, I played around with one and haven't seen benefit yet. Distance was only 20m and my red dot is pretty blunt (8MOA) so my test isn't really definitive either though. I am curious if the difference shows itself at longer ranges where stabilization may be improved (even if it can't stabilize a sabot slug properly).

JW - I saw that vid and Buffalo is using a scope @ 50 yds. Your dot isn't accurate enough - even at 20 yds. His scope brought group down from 8-10" to 2-3" @ 50. Significant to me. I'm buying one if I can find it.
And I don't think a rifled choke will be effective for a sabot, not enough rifling to spin the sabot much?? Not much info on that on YT. And sabots cost Waayyy more than Fosters. Just use them with a rifled choke.
YMMV
