Rifled slug with rifled barrel?

I have used rifled slugs in my rifled scoped slug gun with no issues. I prefer sabots because it keeps the barrel much cleaner and easier to clean over lead. A lot of the rifled slugs drop off too quickly to be really effective in a scoped rifled barreled shotgun.
 
Okay thanks. I do not have a rifled shotgun yet but I plan to sometime in the future and I was hoping that rifled slugs would still work in a rifled barrel just for messing around at the range due to the fact that they are quite a bit cheaper. For hunting tho I'd use a Sabot.
 
Upon closer inspection the box is of copper sabot slugs. I've fired the sluggers down the rifled barrel many times, can't say I've every had an issue or noticed any serious fouling. Nonetheless I'd go with what the barrel maker says.
 
If your looking for even cheaper slugs get a lee mold and make your own they are pefect for both smoothbore and rifled guns because they have a wad between the barrel and slug so you get the best of both worlds cheap slugs and no leading in rifled barrels...
I use them in all my shotguns... even used them hunting last year. They work in everything from 8.5" grizzlys to 32" autoloaders... That's not to say I thru away my Remington and Winchester premier/premium sabots. :) Lee can't come close to 2000fps... I am working on my own little prototype because I hate paying $25 a box for 5 shells :(
 
"...do not have a rifled shotgun yet..." Just buy a barrel. Unless you're looking for a reason to buy another shotgun or you have an odd make of shotgun. Look in Goble's.
The MNR considers rifled shotguns to still be shotguns for shotgun only WMU's too.

Its not to hard I can explain it to you if you have a source you can get lead from cheap or free... if you have to pay for the lead its probally not worth it.
