This is my second firearm from west rifle, the first being an SKS, and once again im not disapointed, i recieved a 1942 izzy with a fantastic stock with only one minor stock repair and very front, and a near perfect bore! Im seriously considering buying a second as i havn't seen ones this nice at any of my local gun shops. I hope your stock lasts long enough to save up some money. Unfortunatly i have a poor camera, and im not much of a photographer either, but here are some pictures.

Once again thank you westrifle for a great product!

Here's y Mosin:

Haven't had chance to take it to the range yet, gonna go there either this weekend or middle of next week.

Sure. I'll play, but I can't post them all. I bought lots of rifles from Westrifle.

Nothing says I love you , like a Mosin

Nice post. You got some skill taking down games with iron sight. Respect

Its easy. Walk instead of flying down the trail on your quad, and buy a gun from Westrifle. Mosins with irons are good for deer to an easy 150 yards, they just fall over when you shoot.

LoL! Hunters on quads are my pet peeve too! No one seems to have patience to locate a game trail and watch anymore!

The wood on yours is exceptional! Have you refinished them?

Haven't touched the wood. Thats the way they came from Westrifle. I think I've had one rifle that needed a new crown, other than that, they all shoot great and were in very good to excellent condition.

My Mosins showed up today! At the neighbour's house, but that's OK, he's cool and a shooter too. Got a 43 Izzy and a 35 Tula with hex receiver, and I have to say they both exceeded expectations. Wood is about as close to perfect as I've ever seen on a Mosin, bayonets fit nice and snug and everything else is about where it should be. My only complaint is that the 35 has about the stiffest trigger pull I've ever seen, but that's hardly the fault of anyone on this continent and easily improved with a few layers of beer can tin. Pics after the weekend hunt! Now I'm off to drink my way towards some free trigger shim material, happy weekend all!

I picked up a 1936 izzy from a local dealer who stocks westrifle guns. Very nice finish on the outside and only minor frosting on the inside. I picked this one over an utterly minty '43 izzy because from what I understand '36 was the first year for the round receiver being in full production.

Plus I like the low wall receiver and pre war finish better than the rough machining of the war years.

Plus plus... This rifle was on sale for $40 less than the other one was :)
