rifles in 6.5 Creedmore?

Savage has just announced a 125th anniversary rifle, chambered in 243 Win, 250-3000, and...gasp...6.5 Creedmoor

That is the most ornate Savage I have ever seen.

Ruger just released the new Hawkeye Hunter in walnut + stainless in 6.5CM that looks pretty neat. https://www.ruger.com/products/HawkeyeHunter/models.html

One of the Salvage rifles on the rack at the LGS. The Kimber Limited beside it was much nicer and it followed
me home. 6.5 Creedmoor of course. :)

The Hawkeye Hunter sure looks good. I'd love an MK II style rifle, blued and walnut, in the 65 Creed.

The $450 price tag for a Reminton 700 ADL at Rangeview was too tempting. Ended up with one in 6.5 Creed. The internet would have us believe that every Remington 700 made in the last 30 years is godawful but it sounded worth the chance.

Gotta say, very happy with it. At the price it makes a lot of lower end rifles much less attractive. I've only shot one brand/kind of bullet (Federal Non-Typical 140 grain SP). Best group was .99", worst was 1.58". Potential is there with good ammo it likes for sure. Won't be able to reach out there with it until the Christmas holidays, but what a sweet shooting little round.

I'll cop to adding a TriggerTech Special though, but the price of the gun is still way low. Digging it more than the Bergara it replaced actually. (Not having a pot metal bolt shroud known to crack on a $1000+ rifle, is nice).

Good buy I’d say!

Thanks, especially if there's a load/bullet it consistently puts into under 1 inch.

The only cut corner I can really complain about is the finish, but making sure to hit it with some oil often enough.

Something to be said for picking up a box of ammo for $22-$24 when need be as well (Cabela's had 10% off with a rebate as well)

Just finished thumbing through the Savage 2020 catalogue. 6.5CM was the third most popular chambering in centre fire rifles, after 308 Winmag and 223 Remington.

No question the 65 Creed is fast becoming one of the more popular cartridges. When you think about how it fufills so many roles, it's hard for it not to become popular. A beginner deer hunter might pick a 243, but the Creed fills that role as well as all the hunting roles of 308/270 etc. And it's also ideal for a long range target cartridge, it's very versatile. :)

Tikka 6.5cm is shooting straight. No bedding, no trigger adjustment, no tweaking of the ammo yet. Round count is now 28

I'm thinking of pickingKimber Montana or the like in in the 6.5 CM, would make a great mountain rifle.
